UPDATE ON AUNT SOPHIE

Whew....

Thanks God, Aunt Sophie is feeling better. She is such a "BEAR" (no pun intended), when she's not feeling well. She went from being sick, to being "psyched" for the Super Bowl.

She is up in AGE, you know.... she still thinks the Chicago Bears are in the Super Bowl. Just go with it... you DON'T want to "cross" Aunt Sophie!!!!

Love,
Patti and Aunt Sophie

THAT DAMN FLU BUG IS AT IT AGAIN

I got this e-mail from my sister in regards to Aunt Sophie.

Hi....

Update on Aunt Sophie.... This morning while we were having coffee in the Parlor, she said she was chilled. So, not only did I put the fireplace on, I covered her legs with a blanket.

As the day went on, she started feeling nausea and gassy.... so, she was on the "pot" for most of the day.

Now she's laying in bed with a slight temperature. I gave her a cool wet rag to put on her head. Guess has the 24 hour flu.

I'll let you know how she's feeling in the morning.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes!

Love,Patti & Aunt Sophie

?????

I am not sure what to name this post. I have so much on my mind and so little room up there to hold it all in. I think I need to vent.

So as you all may know, I really do not like my job anymore. I know there are many people out there that do not have jobs and I should be thankful to be employed but right now I cant be thankful. My boss and his wife are killing me. I don't know how she can sleep at night. Here is my latest drama with her. Monday morning I walk in the the kitchen which is also the home to the postage machine and 2 printers. I notice a huge stack of papers on the printer. Mine was on top but I thought I would be nice and pass them out. So I flipped through and noticed they were for the wifey. I asked her where she wanted them, she said can you make sure they all belong to me first. I said sure. Flipped through again, pulled out a few that did not belong to her and put them on her chair as she was in a meeting and i went about my business.

About 1/2 hour later, she sits down by my desk and says I need to talk to you and she has a stack of print outs (a lot bigger then I had put there) and tells me I need to pay more attention to detail. "Excuse me?" She says "I asked you to take out what did not belong to me and here I have a bunch that are not mine." "You really need to pay more attention to what you do, you are the bookkeeper and you have to be on top of things because there is so much detail and precision in your job and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Once again, I did not speak my mind. In my younger days I would have told her exactly what I thought and not even missed a beat. What is happening to me?

My hubby told me to let it roll off my back because she probably gets off making other people mad. He told me to kill her with kindness. Oh, I want to kill her alright but not with kindness.

Then mr boss walks in today with something high up his ass and decides I am a good target to shit on. He kept asking me questions with a real shitty tone and I kept giving him answers with a real happy and cheerful response. I think that was pissing him off.

The thing that almost threw me over the edge today is this, we get paid tomorrow so I have to process payroll today. I get all the commission sheets done at 9:00 a.m. and give a copy to boss and to wifey to review. Boss gets his back to me right away. I only work until 2:30 so payroll needs to be done and transmitted by 2:00 just in case I run into trouble. At 1:20 I still do not have wifeys stuff back. I go to her desk, not there, I ask the receptionist & she says she went on a client visit. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! So I call her and she says she will be right back. Gets back and makes it my fault they are not done. I should have told her I put them on her desk. HELLO! YOU WERE SITTING RIGHT THERE AND SAW ME PUT THE BRIGHT GREEN FOLDER ON YOUR DESK!

So here it is 2:10 and I was just starting to process the payroll. I got it done and transmitted at 2:30 exactly. My kids get out of school at 2:45, It takes me 17 minutes to get home on a good day. Today's road conditions are anything but good.

I don't mind working late if need be and with a little notice because I pick up my kids from school and today it was -14 with the wind and who am I suppose to call at the last minute to pickup my kids? My kids are more important to me then some fucking job.

Bitter, party of one, your table is ready. I really dread going to work tomorrow.

Double Digits

10 years ago today at 2:00 a.m. I was woken from a deep sleep (well as deep as you can sleep when you are 41 weeks pregnant) to these wonderful sharp little pains in my stomach.

At 2:21 p.m. after a very short labor (after I got to the hospital and got my drugs, I was a sleep most of the time) I was blessed with a 8 lb 10 oz, 21 inch baby girl.

Snoball was born in the blizzard of 99, I am a product of the blizzard of 67. My dad once told me I was the result of a good drunk. Thanks Dad, just what I always wanted to hear. And truth be told all 3 of my were from good drunks.

Over the past 10 years we have gone through so much. It is amazing how time flies. I do remember saying and still do sometimes say "I cant wait til they are older!". Reality has slapped me in the face today. I do not want my baby to be double digits, that means she is not a baby anymore, that also means I am double digits older than when I had her. Not that I feel old or anything but to be young and vivacious forever would be nice.

Today is her day and I thank God for giving her to me and letting me hug and kiss and cuddle and smell and love her everyday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNOBALL, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

The Tooth Fairy

might want to move in and make her life easier.

Mike has 3 teeth on the way out. On Thursday he asked me to pull one out, so I did. We put it under his pillow and "Viola" $5.00 the next day. He did the happy dance. Now here is the kicker, today he comes up to me and says "I think you need to pull another tooth Ma". "What are you talking about mike that tooth is no where near ready to come out". He says..."it is now". He sat here all morning pushing and pulling until it was ready, he actually thought he was going to get $5.00 per tooth so he is making them loose. Crack me up. What does he think the tooth fairy is a Rockefeller?

Here is a picture of my toothless wonder.

SSS Gift

I found the plug to my Camera....

This is what I got from my SSS.

2 holiday dish towels, a very cute stuffed snowman, some lotion and a bag to carry it in.

Thank you very much Kandas.

2009

Well another year has past and we made it through. I hope all bad and negative things that happened stay in the past and we can have a happy and healthy New Year.

As I was going to bed last night, I asked hubby "Whats your New Years Resolution?" He said, "you know I don't make those anymore." So I thought well at least he wont be breaking it like I do every year. I don't get why I cant just stick to the whole resolution thing, I couldn't do it as a kid and cant do it as an adult.

But since it's a new year, I am going to try again. So here goes.

I have 3 things I want to improve on in my life in 2009.

1. Get healthy. I want to start taking better care of me so I can take better care of my family.

2. Be more understanding. I want to listen better and not yell so much. I want to think before I react.

3. Improve my relationships. With my husband, kids, family and friends.

This year I really want to stick to it so I can finally say "I DID IT!".

Here is to a happy and healthy 2009!
